Printable for waste bin systems used at MIT
Printable for waste bin systems used at MIT
These bin signage designs (4" x 12") are available for download for the MIT community. They are informed by the most up-to-date collection information along with data and best practices to limit waste steam contamination (the wrong item in the wrong bin) and increase reprocessing rates, helping to design out waste from campus. This size is useful for bins placed at a 90-degree angle (or the short side against the wall). See example.
Each download includes signs for: trash, mixed recycling, and food only. If you need signage for electronics recycling, batteries, and plastic film you can download them at this link. Please print only the signage needed for your area and collection needs.
DON'T or NO labels also limit waste stream contamination. These labels outline items that should not be placed in each bin. Download and print DON'T labels here.
